An Elegant Georgia Wedding at The Peachtree Club

Somehow magical doesn’t seem enough of a word to describe the Atlanta wedding of Zara-Gray + Bradley Fouts. But magic was surely there – in the details, in the energy of the happy day, in the love between two people newly wed. From beginning to end it was a picturesque foray into the trappings of what makes fine art wedding photography into – well- fine art.

Following preparations in the bridal suite in Atlanta’s St. Regis Hotel, bridal portraits and an intimate first look between Zara-Gray and Bradley took place outdoors at the Hobbs family home, where lush landscape proved to be a gorgeous backdrop to Zara-Gray's delicate blush pink bouquet and Allure ballgown.

It was important to the bride and groom that they exchange vows outdoors, and so the ceremony and reception commenced atop Midtown Atlanta’s Peachtree Club, where serene open sky views were the perfect companion to the city’s bustle and glow below. Fresh peonies and floral arrangements in shades of pink and watermelon accented with snapdragons and palm leaves brought the bride’s vision to life.  Tunes by DJ Foxylectro kept the party hopping while guests enjoyed fare by the Peachtree Club and wedding confections by The Frosted Pumpkin. Zara-Gray and Bradley celebrated well into the night alongside the happy smiles of family and friends, making memories to last a lifetime and longer.

Georgia Destination Wedding at Barnsley Resort

Brooke + Chris | Barnsley Resort in Adairsville, Georgia by Kristin Faye Photography

How Brooke + Chris met:

After meeting on Match.com, we started talking for a couple weeks over text. When we decided to meet for dinner and a movie, he was left thinking I didn't like him because I was really quiet. After the date, I sent him a text to say thanks for the date and he says he was shocked. He thought he would never hear from me again. He called the next day to ask me on a second date. My answer was "of course!".

Why Brooke + Chris choose Barnsley Resort:

I saw Barnsley on Pinterest and just thought it was beautiful. Chris and I had decided we wanted a "destination" wedding, but somewhere that would be really easy on our families to travel to. Once we visited Barnsley, we fell in love with it. It was the best decision. They were so great and easy to work with. They made my wedding weekend perfect.

Brooke's Favorite thing about Chris:

My favorite thing about Chris is his sense of humor. He can make me laugh harder than anyone on earth. Even when things are stressful, he can always lighten the mood and keep me smiling.

Chris's favorite thing about Brooke:

Her smile. (Haha, so I guess that's why he is always making me laugh-Brooke's side note!)

Their favorite thing about their wedding day:

We loved absolutely everything about our wedding day! Brooke: My favorite thing would probably be walking down the aisle. My niece did such an awesome job as flower girl and seeing Chris standing there smiling at me was such a beautiful moment. It was the perfect day.

Little Miracle Baby Cruz

Cruz Rhett Bray

Born 4.13.16 at 10:04 PM

His Story.

At 20 weeks the doctors noticed that Baby Cruz had fluid on his heart and was sent a perinatologist. At 26 weeks, the Bray family was sent to a cardiac specialist where Baby Cruz was suspected to have a heart defect. At 32 weeks, Baby Cruz was suspected to have coarctation of the aorta and would have to have surgery immediately after birth.

The day of delivery he had an echo test immediately after birth where it was confirmed that he had the coarctation of the aorta and they began prostaglandin to keep his heart valve open. We were told he would be transferred the next day to Children's at Egleston Pediatric Hospital  where he would have surgery. The next day when we arrived to Egleston, the doctor did another echo on him. This time things were different. The echo was showing that the coarctation had somehow went away and was NO LONGER SHOWING UP on the scan.  Baby Cruz and his parents stayed at Egleston for 6 days and while the doctors ran multiple scans and did blood work multiple times. Six days later, Baby Cruz  and his parent were released to go home!

From Cruz's Mommy: My favorite thing about being a mom so far is feeling the love he has for me by either his little hand holding my shirt or hair while he's eating, me looking down and he's just staring at me or while he's crying and I start singing and he stops.

From Cruz's Daddy: My favorite thing about being a Dad is watching him change and grow everyday. (Mom's note about Daddy: He loves when Cruz gives him a side smile and the fact that people say how much they look alike.)

Kennesaw State University Senior Session

Before the session, I sent a quick picture to my friend who use to walk from class to class with me. It was just an image of the courtyard and nothing more. A place that you visit so frequently and get to know so well, is one that you'll never forget- along with friends that you'll always remember. This session at mine and my friends alma mater was for a graduating senior at Kennesaw State University, Cortney Armstrong. On May 11th, she graduated from KSU with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Congratulations, Cortney!

Engagement Session in Atlanta at Piedmont Park

Last week, Justin and I met up with Barrette and Chase at Piedmont Park for their engagement session. We had to walk across the field to meet them at one of the Red Flags. Funny story about that… So, Justin and I are have could either walk along the sidewalk which would have taken forever or we could walk through the middle of the wide open field. If you are from Georgia, you know how much it rained last week. A LOT. Of course we decided to walk through the middle of the field. Everything was great until we got to the middle and realized that it was thick mud and we were slipping  and trying to get through without messing up too much of the grass. We eventually make it through. Once we get to the other side, we see a sign explaining what the red flag meant.. "Don't go on the field." Know we know ;)

We are really excited about having the opportunity to do Barrette and Chase's engagement and wedding pictures! It is clear that there is a lot of love and laughter in their relationship. <3

Adairsville High School Senior Portraits by Kristin Faye Photography

Cori Ray is a senior at Adairsville High School. Her senior session had been in the books for a while. I wanted her shoot to have a variety of looks including different locations and textures.

As the last half of her senior approaches, I know the thought of how much would change has been on her mind. Reminiscing on her year, I asked her what one of her favorite things about school was. One of her favorite things is the family that she gained through playing sports. I know how true this is. Through high school sports and college golf, I gained lifelong friends that feel like family!

After high school, Cori plans to go to college and major in business marketing. As a business owner, I believe she is choosing a perfect major. There is so much that you can do with that degree.

My personal note to Cori: I hope & pray that you find happiness in life. Life's journey may take you different paths than you have planned and if it does, it will be OK. Learn as much as you can, make a lot memories, and take time for your family. Time truly does go by so quickly. Document time and a lot of pictures! Congratulations on graduating! I know your family is so proud of you!! <3 Kristin
